Choctaw County Work Detail Program

From January 1 through December 31, 2017, the Choctaw County Sheriffs Office garbage-up program has recovered 45,890 pounds of garbage and 57,340 pounds of tires from Choctaw County roadways. In the previous year, from January 1 through December 31, 2016, the program recovered 43,890 pounds of garbage and 34,440 pounds of tires.  The pickup program began in January 2016 and the program has recovered a total of 88,910 pounds of litter and 91,780 pounds of tires along roadways in Choctaw County.  The tire recovery portion of the project was made possible through a grant from the Alabama Department of Environmental Management.  Sheriff Lolley would like to commend the supervisor and the inmates for a job well done.
