Deputies Upgrade Their Pistols

This past week the deputies with the Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office upgraded their duty pistols with the newer generation 4 Glock handguns.  The sheriff’s office traded in the older handguns and after receiving credit on the trade in, purchased new handguns for approximately $1,800.  The purchase was made possible through use of the sheriff’s discretionary money.  This discretionary money comes from the citizens of Choctaw County who purchase pistol permits.
