A one year undercover narcotics operation has culminated into two arrests for the Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s Office obtained two arrest warrants on Johnfanan “John Boy” Ruffin for Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance. Ruffin sold drugs to undercover personnel on several occasions. Today, deputies obtained a search warrant for the residence located on 7 One Way Drive which is at the corner of Dicey Road in the Scott Mountain area. While obtaining the search warrant, a team of deputies were posted into the wooded area to observe the residence. While observing the residence they noticed Ruffin’s wife, Samantha Ruffin, walk out of the residence and throw a container into the garbage can. Once the search warrant was granted, a second team of deputies arrived at the residence and began executing it. During a search of the garbage can deputies recovered a container. Inside the container was Methamphetamine, cash, scales, and drug paraphernalia. Johnfanan “John Boy” Ruffin was charged with two counts of Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Samantha Ruffin was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both were transported to the Choctaw County Jail where they remain at present time. This case is still under investigation, and information will be limited from this point. Sheriff Scott Lolley would like to commend the deputies of the Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office for their long, hard work on this case.
