Drug Arrest Chapel Hill

On Tuesday, January 22, 2019, the Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office and Gilbertown Police Department responded to assist the Choctaw County EMS with a medical call on the Carlisle Road in the Chapel Hill community.  That night drugs were confiscated and an investigation began.  On Wednesday, January 23, 2019, the Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office, Gilbertown Police Department, and the state probation office went back to this location to follow up on this investigation.  Colby Roberts of Gilbertown, Alabama was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Probation Violation.  James Alex Vice of Gilbertown, Alabama was charged with Carrying a Pistol without a Permit.  Both men were transported to the Choctaw County Jail.  Vice was later released on bond.  Roberts remains in custody.
