Inmate Death

A Choctaw County inmate passed away this morning.  Evan Lamor Todd, 84, of Needham, Alabama passed away before 8:15 A.M. on Thursday, September 14, 2017.  The Alabama State Bureau of Investigation is conducting an investigation which is a matter of routine procedure with jail deaths.    While at the jail, Todd was under the care of hospice.  His death was due to natural causes.

Sheriff Scott Lolley said, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the Todd family during this loss.”

Todd was being held at the Choctaw County Jail on a $85,000 bond for murder.
