Second Warrant Round-up

On Friday, June 9, 2017, the Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office, Butler Police Department, and Gilbertown Police Department held a warrant round-up. The round-up lasted only three hours but netted a total of 5 arrests and cleared 18 warrants. Another warrant round-up will be scheduled soon. After the warrant round-up, law enforcement set up safety check points in various locations. There was a change in the way these check points were handled. Drug K-9’s were deployed so that oncoming traffic was checked for narcotics. Future safety check points will involve the same active use of drug K-9’s in an effort to get more drugs off the streets of Choctaw County.
