Wanted Fugutive Apprehended in Lisman, AL

In 2008 warrants were issued on Lavon Danyale Thompson for Assault 2nd degree, Receiving Stolen Property 2nd degree, Domestic Violence 3rd degree, and Certain Persons Forbidden to Possess a Pistol. Thompson failed to show up for court after being released on bond in 2008. The Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office began to actively look for Thompson, and received information that he could possibly be in Kansas. This office began coordinating with the U.S. Marshalls Office in an attempt to apprehend Thompson. Today the Sheriff’s Office received an anonymous tip that Thompson was presently in the Lisman area.  Thompson was found and apprehended in the Kinnon Heights subdivision within hours of receiving this tip.
